I’m just think of how Leverage fans complained that the show never trusted us to just get that whenever Parker brushed up against someone, that means she stole something, which was defended with the claim that half the audience said they never understood the cons AT ALL.

Reminiscent of when the Veep writers brainstormed the most meaningless slogan possible and came up with “Continuity with change,” and then an Australian politician actually used it.
