I think I'd just be consistent one way or the other, either all tiles or all Big Objects have some depth. I would lean toward the latter since you've got the sword and enemy shadows. Then again, it could be a fun surprise to be able to walk behind the palm trees lol

Thank you, definitely difficult. Its for a game jam, and my scope is very small, this overgrown ruins will be the only area of the game. I'm sure I'll continue work post-jam
