Interesting seeing micro center reviews for amd gpus and users actually saying they’re using them for linux. 2025 has been a good year for linux.

or just get the macbook pro 14 m5 with 16gb/1tb. hmm or wait for m5 pro. why is this so complicated lol. really wish apple would have dropped all m5 versions instead of just the base m5.

really tempted to just pickup that macbook air 13 with 24gb memory/1tb storage for $1599 at apple. macbook air 15 is also tempting for the larger screen tbh.

hopefully one day apple/samsung etc can figure out a way to make their watches use qi standard. i just want to bring a 2-1 charger for iphone/watch/airpods. iphone/airpods both work on magsafe puck but not watch ultra 2. pretty annoying. especially since i always seem to forget the watch charger.

forgot that valve is still using x11 on kde plasma desktop steamOS. surprised tbh since everything else linux seems to be ditching x11 completely for wayland. could be why i'm having weird descripencies between steamos/cachyos kde plasma desktop.

Honestly surprised I haven’t heard of blood cultures until now. Already listen to a bunch of this style of genre before too.

Will 99.99999% never happen. But imagine if Google went crazy and made a shield pro successor with user swappable m.2 nvme slots. At this rate valve might be the one to do it with a steam box. Steam machine might work but we need tv apps like full jellyfin server and player support.

it's wild how rust is basically taking over linux dev. it's in a ton of gtk flatpak and now in the kernel. don't really know about kde qt dev tho.

linux is so damn frustrating. still getting random glitches in youtube even with gpu accelleration on for brave flatpak. i just want shit to work yo. this is what keeps me thinking about getting a macbook air 15 or even pro 14 for mobile setup and be done with it.

i'm still struggling to decide on what to do with this computer situation. on one hand i have an opportunity to get 32gb ddr5 g.skill kit for a decent price from a friend. then upgrade rest of pc, maybe not all at once. but definitely need motherboard, cpu, ram. still leaning on red devil 9070 xt.

i'm legit thinking about ditching wow for a bit after legion remix is done and playing ffiv full time for a bit. i really like the idea of having a single character that can do whatever class (job) i want.

seems like flatseal flatpak enabling gpu acceleration for brave flatpak fixed the stuttering/artifacting issues? seems ok so far in steamos. will try it on cachyos in a couple days when i'm back home.

Ok seems like you have to manually force gpu acceleration with brave and Firefox flatpak with flatseal flatpak. Why is this shit so complicated lol.

i really need to just get a laptop. dealing with all this is so jank feeling. i just keep debating on what i want to get. really wish apple would have dropped m5 pro when they did m5 "launch". also why the hell isn't there a native ff14 client for macos? blizzard jumped on native apple silicon asap.

so brave flatpak on steam deck kde is fantastic. no idea why the brave-bin from aur and brave flatpak are both terrible on my cachyos desktop setup. firefox is fine on cachyos. so /shrug.
