🚨 NEW: Britain’s most powerful people are still 5x more likely to have been privately educated than the general population.

Our brand-new research reveals that jobs in the media, business, charity, creative and public sectors remain dominated by those from private schools ⤵️🧵

I loved music lessons at school 🎷

And though not everyone who takes music, art or drama lessons will go on to make a living in the creative professions, we are missing out on untapped potential if these opportunities aren't available to *all* young people 👇
🚨 Those from upper-middle-class backgrounds, and the privately-educated, are significantly overrepresented in the creative professions in the UK.

Our new research uncovers stark inequalities in access to careers in the creative industries, including television, film, and music 🧵
