I’m obviously a little biased, but I’d encourage you to give it a look. The book deepens Dina’s pop poetic through a reflection on television as a medium that inquires into the practice of binge-watching, asking what she (and we) get from watching so much. You’re Gonna Love This is filled with two competing impulses. Dina braids a series of often zany “recap” poems alongside a vulnerable memoir practice that reflects on caregiving, domestic partnership, and mental health. It’s very moving. I think that people who have read Dina’s previous book will be surprised by You’re Gonna Love This. It’s a book about the ways the fantasies offered up by media crash into our very real lives. I hope you’ll give it a read!
