This is where I landed, but I get the impression many people are using some other definition that eludes me.
I'm ready to accept a definition of "agent" that I think is widely-enough agreed upon to be useful, at least in the AI engineering space:

Codex (chatgpt) just told me it had completed everything I asked, describing all the steps and explaining the implementation in detail, but actually did literally nothing lol

Finding the Rust version to be way less buggy than the JavaScript version. It's actually shocking how bad the JavaScript one is at just printing text to the screen.
