Uber/Lyft have been a sort of social safety net for people between jobs etc. What happens when robotaxis take over?

Is this designer in the room with us now?
And now he’s on a posting spree of photos showing the remodeled bathroom. At least half a dozen of these posts so far.

"We tried something different: Convert the MCP tools into a TypeScript API, and then ask an LLM to write code that calls that API."

"In short, LLMs are better at writing code to call MCP, than at calling MCP directly."

I'm going to go live in a cave.

This is where I landed, but I get the impression many people are using some other definition that eludes me.
I'm ready to accept a definition of "agent" that I think is widely-enough agreed upon to be useful, at least in the AI engineering space:

An LLM agent runs tools in a loop to achieve a goal

(I've been dismissing the term as hopelessly ambiguous for years) simonwillison.net/2025/Sep/18/...
I think “agent” may finally have a widely enough agreed upon definition to be useful jargon now
I’ve noticed something interesting over the past few weeks: I’ve started using the term “agent” in conversations where I don’t feel the need to then define it, roll my eyes …

New post! MCP seems like a lot of hype without much substance. Seems like some developers are catching on.
This MCP Server Could Have Been a JSON File
There's a lot of buzz around MCP. I'm not convinced it needs to exist.

Yo you can just brew install codex and get the new rust implementation now. It's a *ton* nicer than like a week ago.

I don't understand why codex combs through my code with sed and grep instead of just loading the whole thing into the context window. Is chatgpt's window really that small?
August 17, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Codex (chatgpt) just told me it had completed everything I asked, describing all the steps and explaining the implementation in detail, but actually did literally nothing lol

Finding the Rust version to be way less buggy than the JavaScript version. It's actually shocking how bad the JavaScript one is at just printing text to the screen.
Turns out there is a *second* official "codex CLI", written in Rust!
