The lovely 16th Century Brodie Castle, near Forres on the Moray Firth Coast of northern Scotland. The castle was converted to a stately home in the 19th century and its beautiful grounds are now world famous for the variety of daffodils that grow there; you can see them in the foreground.

A little girl sees an osprey lifting from Findhorn Bay. To the extreme left is the edge of Culbin Forest and on the far side are the buildings of Findhrn Village; 2 piers are visible sticking out into the water. Sandbars can be seen lying in the bay, and some horizontal ripples reflect the buildings beyond.

'Our Life', watercolour, 39 x 27 cm. An ordinary house with the owner's Landrover Defender parked outside - both of which mean a lot to the owner. I enjoy doing house portraits and I like painting cars with character - what's not to like!?
