What's your response when people say, "Oh, but people won't use bike infrastructure in all weather conditions, so the investment is not worth it and we need to stay centered around cars?" I hear this one a lot.

Hear, hear, though it's concerning that most people calling for the end of fossil fuels still push the idea that we can keep everything else -- the same capitalism, growth economy, imperialism, inequality, production, consumption, & lifestyles.

That's not working out.
We need bigger changes, eg:
Can Socialism Solve the Climate Crisis?
Governments globally are failing to combat climate change because they prioritise profit over the planet — for real change, the capitalist mode of production must be overhauled.
