I made a new version of the @laracon.au recap video to show @thierylaverdure.com what it would look like when he comes next year.

How much better is the video with him IN it.

RT for reach and to add increased pressure on him to attend.

“A LOT faster” is underselling it. The mobile app is absolutely zooming with this update 🚂
Obsidian 1.10 is now available! The mobile app now launches A LOT faster.

We've also made many improvements to Bases with new list views, map views, groups, summaries, and APIs to create your own views.

@valorin.bsky.social’s hacking workshop was really cool, learned a lot from it!

Thanks Stephen and @marty.friedel.au for organising it and it was nice meeting folks there 😄

It’s been a year today since I walked on stage at @laracon.au 2024 and opened up about my experiences with depression and anxiety.

Mental health should be talked about.

And with 2025’s conference just days away, a reminder to be aware of those around you who feel invisible.

Wayfinder is black fucking magic and it’s everything I ever wanted.
Laravel's @joe.codes shows how they use a new Vite plugin, Wayfinder, to perform 'alchemy,' automatically generating TypeScript types and routes from a PHP backend to create a seamless, end-to-end type-safe development experience when building modern applications.

Pro tip for programmers: don't shower at the start of your day.

Instead, wait until you're absolutely stuck on a problem. THAT's when you shower - instant presto solution!

(Note: do not implement this if you work from an office)

Started looking at Laravel Verbs. I find it to be very similar and not similar to actions at the same time. Not sure if I understand it but it’s really cool!

Hosting my own git forge feels so nice. Full control and having a privately controlled mirror is just awesome.

Biggest downside is that collaboration is harder. Oh well 🤷‍♂️

Setting up a Tangled knot is super easy with Docker and Coolify! I was able to create a repo on it too.

I did learn today that running 2 Git servers side-by-side while only relying on SSHD is a pain in the ass 😅

I won't be using Tangled anytime soon though, it was a cool experiment though!

Tangled looks really cool, I’ll have to have a play setting up a Knot and Spindle in Docker

First time in my life I’ve seen a 10/10 CVE. Even Heartbleed, Shellshock, Spectre and Meltdown didn’t go that high

For a while I’ve been using Git to sync my Obsidian vault, today I switched to using Obsidian Sync.

And holy cow is it zooming!

I’m a happy boy :>

Coolify is an open source platform that helps you manage your entire web infrastructure on your own hardware. It's a self hostable alternative to services like Heroku, Netlify, and Vercel. It is a perfect tool for developers and IT professionals and it is free.

Less is safer: how Obsidian reduces the risk of supply chain attacks
Supply chain attacks are malicious updates that sneak into open source code used by many apps. Here’s how we design Obsidian to ensure that the app is a secure and private environment for your thought...

Hey Laravel Cloud users, question for you: how much does your database cost you every month? I’m doing some research on what to do on my own ideas

Feel free to DM me if you don’t want to say it publicly

Can't believe I'm sending out the first sponsor update for @litebase.com. Big thank you to @rvx.works for being the first sponsor! 🥳

I'm still preparing the first public release, which has me focused on code signing and other distribution tasks.

dust beats du in every aspect, it’s just good.
Want an easy way to see where your disk is being used on Linux and Unix? Look no further. dust (du + rust) is a more intuitive version of du, written in Rust. It provides a tree likez view of disk usage, sorted by size, making it easy to identify which directories are consuming the most space

I'd love if you reposted, to help me gather more data, but no pressure. Thanks! 😊

I feel Laravel’s Benchmark class is underrated. I recently started to use it to make benchmark tests to validate whatever I write is fast or at least fast enough 🚀
