Kris isn't some completely innocent and naïve cute funny quirky character, they're a person with dark thoughts and impulses they won't act upon. The Weird Route is us forcing Kris to enact on darker, suppressed ideas that they loathe us for.

It is also just weird that people look at Kris not aligning with our specific motives to be "evil" now. There's so much more to Kris than any of us know and a lot of parasocial people are angry they can no longer see themselves as Kris... it's really strange

There's absolutely no evidence of some anime-like subplot of Kris and Noelle "secretly harboring feelings", but plenty of dialog directly confirms that Noelle feels absolutely nothing
