yes i LOVE tearing into character's self loathing and depressed sides- i do this with husk from hazbin hotel too- honestly this animation ive finished is the first happier drawing(s) ive done in YEARS, just bc i LARVE angst 💪💪

i know that, at least in the show or comic, he's never seen to be suicidal, but honestly i highkey headcannon he's got bipolar (..mostly bc i see a lot of myself in him and ive got it), and is passively suicidal both when manic and depressed- so that one would be more of my own fanon version of him

teeth of the mechanism by john mackey would go PERFECT with the scene in the pilot-

the breakdown about 4 minutes into "poor jackie" by man man, where either its a VERY out of character way rocky sees mitzi, OR, and more likely, i'll turn the "jackie" character in the song into the mississippi river- in the song, the singer is-

i'd wanna animate him playing the violin solo in "my drag" by squirrel nut zippers, with mitzi being the one singing

(2) another is the kinda incomprehensible part of gravity by the dresden dolls- "you can do it! left foot, right foot", where its rocky and ivy running through the field and rocky gets hit by the hearse

one idea is the end of "calm me down" by mother mother, specifically where it starts at "i wanna be a good man"

another is laplace's angel by will wood- starting at the bridge with "if you wash your hands of where youve been until you flood the second floor
