Apart from child benefit, I've never claimed benefits. Did jury service, volunteer, payed (and pay) plenty of tax.

Britain is my home. Like for 3+ Million EU citizens.

Writing letters (and receiving letters) is one of the joys of life.

That joy has lasted for 4 generations in my family ... and I am hopeful my children will carry on. So far, so good (despite the temptations of emails and text messages).

I've never felt more insecure living in the UK, as an EU national who arrived (and filled a skills gap) in the early 1990s. I pay tax, have done jury service, volunteer, am bi-lingual, fully integrated.

And yet, I worry who'll come to power and what it will mean for my future.
