See this off-season's Sexton/Nurkic trade. That's probably a best case type of trade scenario, and it's not great. Simons makes even more money than Sexton and being in-season might make the money matching even more difficult. Simons Efficiency Differential on the year is -10.6. Difficult sell.

I'm perhaps being overly sensitive with semantics, but referring to data driven research as orthodoxy feels dismissive. Probably just me.

Good. That was bugging the crap out of me.

It will be a useful thing to file away with all of the block chain training from a few years back.

Really liked that read from him

This has not been our cleanest game. Not the most fun watch in the world.

I feels a little bit like a light bulb went off for him on defense. He's been fantastic on that end.

I'm going through the same thing. Reading an author I've enjoyed twice before. But this one... it's just not doing it for me. I don't want to quit it, so I just need to stuck it up and knock it out so that I can get back in rhythm.

10 games, not 8.

That's fair. We're only 8 games in. He's going to have all of the opportunity in the world to play and expand his game.

He's still only playing 23.6 mpg. He still has a foul problem. It's difficult to see him playing him significantly more minutes. To me - it seems like 20 mpg off the bench would be ideal for him/the team.

That leaves Queata as the only current rotation big for the future. So between now and the start of next season, we have to find a way to get (at least) one rotation quality center. Right now I'll settle for someone that doesn't hurt you when he's on the court. Brad will figure it out.

If we're looking at this year as a try out/prove it year, the early returns seem to be that Boucher and Tillman (both in the last year of their contracts) will/should not be back. Garza has one more year, and he has so far shown that he is a third (or 4th) center and not a rotation piece.

I have two more, but I've used them so much all of the paint is gone. And it feels weird to be like "and trust me, these used to say Celtics too".
