Quite honestly, I never expected them to save us. I know what the culture is like. I’m referring to older vets who might now have a different perspective on life in America. Who knows, I may be totally delusional.

I agree with a part of what you are saying but as a former vet, yeah, we may have lost a battle but we haven’t lost the war.

Sad but hard to argue with.
