Great ambition but it doesn’t address the staffing crisis in the NHS. To provide the beds is one thing, to provide adequate levels of safe staffing is another. It needs a long term, multi party strategy on pay, training and jobs that may take 10 years to accomplish. Likelihood of that happening?!!?

He is hugely to blame for the nursing shortages in this country. Scrapped the bursary, complicit in real term pay cuts and the implementation of tuition fees for nursing students all under his watch. He should keep quiet
