I wonder when the Nazis occupied France, Poland, and all the other countries, did they rename buildings? and if they did, how long did the names stay?

enjoyed it. Veronica Lake was her cool, clear headed character; great to look at. Ladd (straight, tough, w honor) & Bendix (war injured) were good. "Stop the monkey Music". All the bad characters were shot dead. As in the other blue flower film, LA was very rainy.

Fabulous Bogart & Bakers, saw Shirley film long past.
Nazi: You are a man of action. You take what you want, and so do we. You have no respect for democracy - neither do we. It's clear we should be allies.
Bogart: It's clear you are screwy. I've been a registered Democrat ever since I could vote.

Muller is not alone in that opinion. Lorre had really bad teeth in that one. Next year, he was in Maltese Falcon, he had new teeth.

†version w/o narration is better ☨Peter Lorre was creepily odd looking. 3/3

Reading about film noir. What i notice is estrangement, desperation, feeling of the fix is in against you. Having a crime story & femme fatales are convenient additions. Snappy dialogue & certain dark camera work is expected.
*Dick Powell smoked a lot of cigs in <80 min.

I swear so many Repukican mouthfoamers on teevee & radio must be failed sportscasters. The best things on the controller are the mute and off buttons. 3/3

And only two of the three are on Fox. The chief (there are several) irritant is false & loud enthusiasm. Tessitore is a vocal actor (horrid), he also announces wrestling (not surprising, found out by using the internets). 2/3
