Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

2/2 There's an easy way to spot the difference- does the person trying to sell you the idea claim it will solve everything? Or is it a model trained for a narrow purpose, to solve a very specific set of problems?
