That’s the fundamental problem with this government. They couldn’t sell a roast dinner to a starving man.

Witch-hunt in progress. The bigger story we don’t hear from the media is that the Tories took government debt from £900 billion to £2.7 trillion over 14 years, leaving Reeves having to find £198 billion just to pay the interest. That’s 10% of all tax going into that hole.

A cartoonist with no morals.

This is bollox. The real story here is the state of the economy after 14 years of Tories. They left government debt at £2.7 trillion, lumping a £198 billion per year needed from taxpayers just to pay the interest. That’s what you call harming working people.

The mail would be cheering political skill had a Tory done such a thing.

How does that compare to student loans?
November 29, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Of course they do. They think the budget is all about other people paying the tax, not them. Huge mistake by Labour not setting the scene. I wouldn’t open my mouth without mentioning how much revenue is missing because of Brexit, and that 10% of taxes are paying interest on £2.7 trillion gov debt.

Is this about people who’ve never been involved in the running of a railway telling people who do run a railway how to do their jobs?

…in contrast to “British voters aren’t stupid
..”

That is bullshit. You don’t need to piss down your own trousers like this? She needs to raise money to pay the huge (£198b) annual interest on the £2.7 trillion government debt she inherited from the Tories. Do better Ed.
November 27, 2025 at 6:54 AM
Yet Reeves is raising money to pay the huge debts the Tories left them with. Why aren’t you educating people?
November 27, 2025 at 6:48 AM
That’s what prompted me this morning
November 27, 2025 at 6:46 AM
Terrible budget coverage by the BBC. Not a word about the £198 billion this year in interest alone on the £2.7 trillion government debt. BBC should be educating the nation, not leading the Reeves hating.

Have you ever been to America?

You quoted a list of people who pay tax, and probably a lot of tax. What she needs to do is make more tax payable on unearned income. Sunak famously earned £2.2m and paid a total tax rate of 23%.

I’m 63 and can remember vividly being bullied by a lad a year above me at primary school. I specifically remember kicking the shit out of him the last time he did it. He never came near me again.

He also didn’t mention the huge campaign by billionaire owned right wing media to sell that narrative to the hard of thinking.

Social distancing during Covid came easy to me, as I spent decades having nothing to do with smokers, and keeping my distance from them.

Now do ‘Starmer must go’.

I listened to him give a talk in Cornwall before the GE and he was excellent. I agree they should air him as much as possible; he doesn’t take any shit from the media.
