I collapsed upon the first bed I lay eyes on within the cabin. Upon the next morn, I awoke in an unfamiliar garb immaculately fit to my form. As I ventured I found books and basic amenities to call home, the question of who lived here fleeing my mind. Do I deserve this reprieve?

A welcome yet forbidden sight I foresaw in this convenient shelter. It lay in a circular clearing of trees, and nature fell silent. Not a chirp nor squeak could be heard. A podium stood in front, with a blank guestbook. Silent urges forced me to sign my name, and Keeper I became.

I wandered into a peculiar wood, transfixed by oddities I'd not seen or heard but from blurry VHS tapes and eccentric woodsmen. Not much to lose, so why not witness what few men dare to? My abyssal curiosity rewarded me with a sight that contradicted this eery forest. The Cabin.

A PS2/OG xbox title, The Mercenaries is one of the best open world experiences I ever had. Dropped into North Korea during a vague conflict you interact with factions such as the UN, South Korea, and Russian Mafia. You have the freedom to airdrop guns, vehicles, and air support in stylish fashion.

Inscryption, a brilliant single player rougelite card game with replay value out the wazoo. There are some qualms I've heard about the back half of the game, but I think it genuinely plays into the meta narrative that is being spun throughout the players journey. A must play even for non TCG players

If early CoD represented some WW2 grit and realism, MoH presented that era of combat in a cinematic fashion, flush with picturesque level design and sweeping scores by Micheal Giacchino. Starting on the PS1, this series sparked a temporary history buff part of my life, hungry for knowledge.

There is not enough that can be said about MGS. Music, voice acting, sound design, characters, writing, it's got it all. Funny thing, I got to the Cyborg Ninja hallway, and I didnt play the game for another year. I needed to build up the courage because I thought the bodies would get up and spook me

Jade Empire isn't a great game, but it's got quite a bit of heart imo. While combat can feel stiff, the style switching mechanic is fantastic, weaving in and out of different sets like a diet DMC3. The writing has some fun twists, but morality system is binary, making replay feeling a little bland.

Kotor 2 has a wealth of stuff to talk about it's hard to condense tbh. I won't spoil it but the main plot thread the games final stretch has is fascinating, interpreting the force the way it does. While I do love it, I think this games opening level is one of the worst, it drags hard even for an rpg

Tail Concerto was the 1st game I ever beat in one sitting, pulling an all nighter into the oceanic hues of the next morning. It's a platformer/action game where you ride a mech that gets catches pirates and criminals. Also a tomboy pirate gal that I'm sure is responsible for some preferences haha
