I completely forgot about this, but Saturday marked a whole year of not travelling on Voyagers (or any kind of CrossCountry train, in fact).

Parts of the new bridge decks at Oxford station have been installed for a while now, including future-proofing for an additional through platform.

Given the desire to increase clearance and the new bridge decks being below the height of the old one, they must be lowering the road a long way?

A quick look at the site of the future Portishead railway station, which is due to open in 2028.

Vegetation clearance has begun, but the old tracks are still to be lifted here.

Today and Friday, GWR are running a FREE train service between Taunton and Bishops Lydeard for people visiting the Inspirition Train.

Ideal for those who want rare track.

What a weekend that was! There are a lot of photos, so here's a taster.

I spent a weekend in Pembrokeshire with friends for an early Christmas get-together. We also spent some time in Fishguard, Haverfordwest and St David's exploring the area.

Over in Cheltenham, I've just used the recently revised 10 bus. It now provides better connections to the shops and restaurants on Bath Road, which makes perfect sense.

Unfortunately, the service is still not reliable with buses regularly running in pairs. Roadworks are the main cause of this.

Day 2 of the 3/3A buses serving Oxford station, and there are now DEFINITELY too many buses here.

There isn't room on their bus stop, so they fill up everywhere else instead. 🙄
