My take: 50K was far enough that distance became meaningless. "This is just life now," was what I was thinking. A very tricky trail with lots of roots, sandy beaches, and loose rocks - but also great views. Finished just before the wind and rain really hit. #ultrarunning #trailrunning #50K #runsky

Beyond the forest, the ocean is a kind of slate grey. In the distance, the sun is setting beyond the cliff, peaking out below the clouds that cover most of the sky. The clouds are grey, but the sun is casting a soft light at the horizon, making it a peachy yellow.

WU-2x10x30 sec (with 30 sec rest for each + 1.5 min between sets)-CD. Another dreary day, but the sun almost broke through toward the end. At least the limestone makes for interesting things to look at. #running #runsky #trailrunning

In the middle distance, the layers of limestone are visible where the cliff juts out a bit. There's a large drop, probably 60 feet, down to the water. The ocean is slate-grey, with some waves rolling in towards the shore. In the distance, the cliff continues all the way to the horizon. The sky is overcast, pale grey, but the horizon is brighter, almost white.

A collection of very tall larches, seen from below. Most have ivy completely encasing their trunks. The larches have turned yellow and will soon drop their needles. There's a blue sky behind them and the sun is hitting the tops of the trees, highlighting the yellow. The ground is mostly green from creeping ivy, but there a footpath that's yellowish-brown from old larch needles and mulch.

Still struggling for motivation, but out I go. Took it easy and stopped to marvel at the hoarfrost and listen to the waves lap against the rocks on the shore. Registered for two virtual races, one 18K and one 45K. Motivation will come. #trailrunning #runsky #running

Stats for a run: 21.12 km at a 5:41 min/km pace and HR 160 bpm. There's an outline of the route, which is a circuit with a few squiggly bits here and there. A view from Stockholm City Hall, looking south. The ground is paved over with large flat stones laid out in an almost herringbone pattern. At the edge of the stones, there is a low stone railing. On the left, some kind of pillar rises upwards. It's raised above the stone pavement on two large steps, the lower is roughly octagonal and the upper is roundish with four faces on the sides, where there would have been corners if it was square. Beyond the railing, there's a large, calm lake. On the other wise, there are colorful stone townhouses on the left and a church steeple. A bit further off, in the middle and to the right, there are more stone buildings. The sky is overcast, though there's a slight crack in the clouds and you can sense the sun beyond.
