Wow! Traveller is about to go 50! I know it is one of legendary TTRPGs that left the mark on the role playing scene, but I didn't know it is half a century old. not that I should be surprised since it is that good.

Social media sites literally use posts for Ai training. For blog, if you are monetizing it somehow and Ai companies affect your income by scraping it, sure, you can give it a try, but you will need a proof that they used it.

God, I hope ALL of them fail a claim.

Sadly, blogs and posts are public. I think that there may be a case for paywalled articles. But I sure hope every author submits a claim.

Yes, please. I know three authors that already did this for several of their books.

That is ok, that is why I asked for the name of the publisher only. On the other hand, the original publisher's cover is always taken into considerations with these things, never the covers publishers from other countries, so if his originals were noAI covers, then he would be safe.

All I can say is sorry that it happened to him, but yeah, he was screwed over. He should ask for no Ai covers in his future contracts. I know A LOT of authors who added this clause after Jay Kristoff raised his voice a few years back.

That truly makes no sense. Big company gives small company rights to sell ebooks and redo the covers of big company's property. While this is the weirdest publishing story I heard, and makes no sense from financial standpoint the point still stands that he had agency in approving the cover.

So, he did approve it and with that he had every say in this, even though he didn't know. The moment he said yes, they fulfilled their part of contract.
Though I am really interested in which big publishing company uses AI for covers and screws their authors like this. Name them and shame them.

Authors always have a final say on the cover, it is standard contract. They even approve the covers that were done by publishing houses in different country. I work in standard publishing. Sorry, but what you wrote is simply not truth.

Bugsy is a wonky team leader so it fits the theme.

They are follower fishing, probably using bots to do the work. They have several accounts. Blocked 2 so far.
