These guys get complaints normally about the things that massive evil corporations get complaints about.

They budget their complaints departments to be a certain size based on an expected volume of calls.

If you exceed that number by even 20-30% it starts ~failing~.

The average upset person with an unexpected charge card on their card suddenly has to wait an hour to talk to someone, rather than five minutes.

When they do get through, they are now ~angry~ - as a result, they take longer on their call and things gum up even worse.

Called visa again today, they gave me the same spiel about "We don't moderate content or pass moral judgment" that I literally JUST heard yesterday, but I had enough wherewithal this time to make sure I got myself a complaint ticket number!
