I literally just started watching Dr Who in my late 30s this year. I’d only seen an episode or two before (notably the Van Gogh one.)

An edit on ClockApp of 15 got me curious (Midnight) and now I’m going backwards through the run:z

Fav so far is actually Capaldis. Heaven Sent was a masterpiece.

I created this in #Procreate as a way to sit with it all. Art therapy has been getting me through these especially rough months.

I’ve always used art and writing as a way to cope, but I’m understanding more and how it allows me to identify and learn to process my life and emotions.

Fortunately it’s my high pitch that’s the lost area so far, about 30% of it. But I’m still able to hear speech so the hearing itself isn’t as big a problem day to day than the tinnitus. It’s not exaggerating 24/7, only changing in volume.

That and I just really hope it doesn’t get worse…

The fact that they are a real actual thing still blows my mind. The ocean is ✨WILD✨

I pants the shite out it.

But ALSO, there’s the concept of incubation within the subconscious. Our subconscious mind processes things at a ridiculous rate compared to our conscious mind. Ie, how the best ideas come to you in the shower/while driving.

Pantsing is letting that subconscious mind play

Some of my wildest most gut wrenching stuff was 100% unplanned. It’s so amazing when things come out even you didn’t expect!

Have you ever seen Space Sweepers? It absolutely has a Musk-esque character as the villain 😂

Love to see this more in fiction tbh 👍

Thank you! The Elsinore covers hit on my Celtic and Greek obsessions so it was a great match ☺️

Cover deigns are just part of my illustration/design work BUT, it’s the same creative burnout as writers get tbh.

The more you do it the more seamless the process is. But still gotta refill your tank before you’re able to work on your own creative stuff in addition to what you’re doing for others.

I get ridiculously geeked when I see people mention indie artists I like 🙃

Like shortening it to “antifa” instead of saying someone is “anti-fascist” because then they’d have to admit out loud to being against people who are against fascism.

Oh the stories people tell themselves, and the mental gymnastics they do to justify it in their minds.

This sounds like it would have been such a cathartic experience having that feedback coming from a therapist. That’s so cool she worked with you on it 💚

This sounds cathartic. I recently restarted individual art therapy and it’s a game changer.

After my wife passed I did a grief writing workshop, 30 days with prompts surrounding grief. I tended to lean toward speculative. It was very helpful as someone who struggles to process things directly.

Writing an epistolary series called Archetype. Each book a different genre but in the same world. The Undying are immortal & invulnerable & each book focuses on one.

The antagonist in the first book has the ability to “shadow walk,” sinking into and appearing out of any shadow.
