This is an actual telephone conversation between adults recorded sometime in the 1970s, analyzed multiple times by researchers. Notice a direct "request" and direct "response" are never produced. This is not marked or strange. It's how people interact, even as adults.

#AAAL Conference was good. Shared ideas, met up with old friends (some I hadn't see since before Covid), and made some new ones. Had a good time, even though there was an obvious shadow and urgency hanging in the air.
Still don't quite get what Denver has for giant blue animals though.

These two are my favorite. Both from Kobe involving Korean (the content of which is very different from the other languages on the signs). Not sure what "type" we'd call these though... (one is bottom-up, other top-down, fwiw).

These 10 "Democrats" voted to censure Rep. Al Green, allowing the Republicans to pass it.
Remember, the House didn't censure MTG or Boebert when they howled at Biden.
Shame on them. They are the ones who will stand by as things go bad.
