oh and also!! I did try the repair option to no avail haha ;~; also uninstalling/reinstalling, omg I tried every tried and true technique. so frustrating!! thank heavens for my husband helping me out in the end lmao!!!!! thank you for responding as well! very appreciated x

okay so hubby deleted all TS3 folders (well, renamed them) and forced the game to create all new folders. missing a lot of my items but I can slowly build that back up, adding some in gradually over time so as not to overload the game. WE'RE BACK, BABYYYYY!!!!!! only took a MONTH 🥴

hi sorry yes it is on windows!! my husband deleted the entire contents of The Sims 3 folder and forced the game to create new files, and I'm sort of half starting from scratch which seems to have FINALLY worked ;~; deleting current game didn't work :'(
