That said given Spotify recently running |CE recruitment adverts would be enough to get me to sacrifice a lot to leave. Moved a few months ago, before I heard about that, but that's pretty beyond the pale

Apple music has been pretty good for me, to a point I won't be going back at all. Tidal I actually didn't like, it was missing a LOT of music I enjoyed. It is dismal that YT music didn't work with google smart speakers though, almost comically so.

The best is to also just buy music from artists directly if possible. And merch. And go to shows. But at the very least getting away from Spotify is very very easy.
