The pain and loss I feel every day whether it be a big or small moments or just looking at something for too long, is worth it, just to remember the love that I had and always will have for him. The best dad in the multiverse.

I remember the last conversations we had about the lessons he wanted to teach me and the last time he called me handsome. Every moment we shared.

I remember the love and respect he had for me and my family. I remember his happiness, his sadness, his fears and joy. I carry them with me. Always.

I remember his cooking, the conversations where I would ramble to him about my fixations, our love of similar music, him dancing and singing to Tom Jones, his loud snoring, the funniest sleep talking I will ever hear, his crazy haircuts, his daring nature and confidence

I remember leaving him a note when he went to the hospital for COVID thinking I’d never see him again, I remember some of our first Christmases and our last Christmas, I remember him gleefully watching sports, I remember him sitting in the garden or watching the news at 2am

I remember our movie nights and arguing over what to watch, I remember his sense of humour, I remember helping him whenever he fell over or needed someone to put on his socks, I remember checking on him every night I could, I remember rearranging the Christmas tree with him
