I've tried the multiplayer a little bit & it basically just amplifies the problems with the core battle mechanics. Messy, at times very confusing, & seemingly naked without the extra flavor of the team tactics of a MOBA or power fantasy of a modern Diablo hack-'n-slash.

The Rogue Mega Evolution battles are dogshit, though - could've lived without any of them staying in the game. The 3-at-a-time sections in the late game were just frustrating & not at all rewarding.
