PS We hope you’re all doing okay out there. It’s been a challenging few days but hopefully we now all have flushing toilets (has anyone tried showering yet?) and are finding some semblance of normality.

If in doubt, buy bottled water or boil your tap water before consuming it, and we’re looking forward to bringing our parkrun community together again on Saturday morning. Briefings start at 8.50am…

If you are uncertain, at present the advice is that tap water must be boiled before drinking, but that may change. The café and toilets intend to be open, again, the nature of the situation means that may change too. We will let you know if there’s an update that affects parkrun…

Everyone in the town knows what’s been going on (or not) with the local water supply, so we’re not here to make a statement, this is to provide information and advice for Saturday’s parkrun.

If you’re a tourist coming RTW - and as sensible advice for all this week - bring your own bottled water…

By Saturday we really should all have the ability to do laundry and take a shower (we hope), which means today we need a few more people to sign up as volunteers.

Sorry to hear you’ve had to cancel, but we will be very happy to welcome anyone who chooses to visit us. We have a little mud but not full on winter course level mud yet!

Both events are open to all participants whether you walk, run, volunteer, watch or even just want to find out more.
The social is a great opportunity to finally put names to the faces of the people you spend Saturday mornings with, so please do come along and say hello!

Evening: event starts at 7pm, in the back of The Royal Oak. And we will be happy to welcome all of you (under 18s until 9pm)…

Morning: briefings at 8.50am, 5k set off at 9am(ish), the start is near the cafe in Dunorlan Park. And we could do with a couple more marshals!

Technically, yes, because every parkrun is a social event but we’ve only had five or six pacer days this year!

• Finally, don't forget we'll be holding a special Christmas Day parkrun!

• This coming Monday, 24 November, members of the public are invited to help plant trees in the events field. No experience is necessary, just turn up for 9.30am.

• Next Saturday will be an evening social. All are welcome to join us in The Royal Oak (the nearest pub to parkrun) from 7pm. We've an area at the back, and the pub is wheelchair accessible via the back door. Please come along and put names to the faces of the people you spend your Saturdays with!
