Today, Wikipedia introduced me to the volcano rabbit:

It looks much less intimidating than the name might suggest, but it's also such an evocative name that begs gamification

This account is now set to automatically delete posts more than a year old.

Stuff worth archiving will get saved on a website, probably. I'll plan to put the link in a pinned post.

Traveling, so for now this is just a phone photo rather than scanned flat. And no cleanup, either. But it was fun to do this; felt like it's been a long time since I have posted one of these.

It's a tiny map fragment! Haven't done anything like this here for a while. Got a couple hours upcoming where I might be able to do something more.

Anyone who bought a copy of my DQ adventure, The Sentinel Chapel, should now have gotten an email from DriveThru RPG with a link for a draft regional map for that adventure (and a note about a new adventure I'm working on in the same region and context). It's rough and sketchy, but it's […]

My contributor copies of Grenzland arrived today - very timely. (Also, more than a little bit surprising, given everything going on, especially in the US.) But I'm very glad they arrived.

PDF version (free! along with previous back issues) available here […]

Working on a couple of maps for Horse Shark Games.

Playing with a Battlezone aesthetic here that's even more Battlezone-y than the final b&w art will be, but really fun, quick sketch nonetheless.

Apparently this week is the 100 year anniversary of the BBC broadcasting The Shipping Forecast.

As such, I ought to get an update out for my #ShipCrawl rules under that title […]

Getting ready to run the Chrome Messiah adventure (Appendix N Jam) for GOZR at RFT con.
September 13, 2025 at 9:26 PM
One week until I'm running a session of GOZR for RFTcon 2025. If it stays with just a couple people for the event, I'm thinking about having them each play 2 characters, to have a chance to mess around with more stuff. Presently making pre-gens with crib sheets.

Appendix N Jam results for the public voting are in.

Not being oriented towards 5e was almost certainly a detriment for it, so I can't complain about the ranking.

I do note that the art was ranked #60, so considerably higher than the overall ranking, and I will definitely take that.

It's done; it's posted. B+W version, color version, text file, review version (reduced resolution & watermark)

Take a look; feedback is always welcome, especially if you're running GOZR and you use this, but also if you adapt and use it some other way instead.

JV West is over on Bluesky, not here, but I am happy to share his response after I posted the Chrome Messiah on itch. Once I got going on this adventure, it felt like I was going in the right direction with it. This makes me feel like I landed it properly.

It's not 100% done yet, but the Chrome Messiah (Appendix N Jam) is far enough along that I've posted it on itch:

Gives it a chance for folks to see it and give some feedback before it's all wrapped up.

Anyone want to take a look at an in-progress GOZR one-page adventure (for the Appendix N Jam) and give me some feedback?
