Iron Lung’s success is sending out an important message: Instead of obsessing over decades-old IPs, studios should listen to their key demographic. They’re telling Hollywood what they want, and it’s not what their parents are obsessing over.

Love everything about Joe v Volcano - the cartoonish whimsy, Ryan’s performance(s), the enchanting score…and my god, Stephen Goldblatt‘s cinematography is simply stunning. Damn, I miss the days when even “lighter” fare had artistic flare.

Labeling The Plague as a horror/psychological thriller is a promotional tactic that, I feel, does a disservice to the film. What it is, is an extraordinary drama with a star-making turn from Everett Blunck. A brutal, chilling, masterpiece.

Scrooged is a loud & obnoxious movie, for most of its runtime. But then a funny thing happens: the camera locks down on Murray and he gives one of my favorite performances of his career in the last 15 min. He shows a vulnerability here that’s so unique to his filmography.
