SO MANY DELAYS and usually they aren't even weather-related

fully agree that ppl should be discouraged from applying to grad programs rn, as much as some folks i've encountered don't want to hear it

this is why i'm trying to go back to my "alt-ac" 9-to-5 lifestyle, even tho it means it'll likely take longer for me to finish my dissertation. grad students (esp those of us who are queer etc) were already existing under extreme precarity and now it's suddenly 1000x worse
