My German host sister speaks 11 languages. Her German, English, Finnish, Spanish, and French are totally fluent. Her Hungarian, Italian, Latin, Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian are good enough to read academic texts and write summaries in German.

Apple and celery salad with a mayonnaise dressing is actually pretty good though. With chicken and some dried cranberries? Of the midwestern “salads” that one is vaguely salad-like.

I can’t imagine a pet raccoon being anything other than a chaos agent, but I bet they’d hug you with their cute little hands.

I had a Commodore 64, it took an entire cassette tape to save a two page paper. Fun times.

There it is.

Since when is honking your horn a crime worthy of violent arrest?

I think a lot of MAHA are conservative moms who care about food additives but still vaccinate. And I think a lot of them hate Trump.

The only time in my life I voted for a Republican was Pro Choice Arne Carlson. Klein can suck it.

Why are their guns drawn? What danger do they think they’re in? What cowards.

Thanks for the correction.

This topic is baffling to me. My own mother still defends Woody Allen! Rapists, TERFs, people who campaign for discriminatory laws, and pedophiles are dead to me forever. I will never give them my money or respect. I don’t care what they created.

Isn’t Wellbutrin a serotonin and norepinephrine re-uptake inhibitor?

When I tell you the nine months of medical gaslighting I had to endure before they did an MRI and said, oh, yeah, I guess it was a sports injury and you need surgery.

I don’t understand what this comment has to do with the easily researched voting patterns of higher education level suburban women voters? The suburbs in my metro area are very diverse though.

And they’re not “barely legal” it’s a bright clear line.

The New York Times thinks trans people should just, I guess, die? So I actually don’t care because I love my daughter and I think you are all evil.

I would certainly like to think that, but I actually think it was a shift in education and marriage demographics. Basically, the moms were more likely to be college educated and wage earners as time went on.

In my case literal moms of my students.

I really don’t think they did though. It was low education rural white women. At least where I live, suburban women went blue.

It is weird, but I think suburban mom, as a demographic, was reliably Republican for so long, the fact that it isn’t even a little Republican anymore is what they’re attempting to imply. I taught in a rich suburb, and the moms were totally different at the end of my 30 years.

I am still angry about bailing out the banks! The lesson should have been: bailout people! If we had given people the cash they would have used it to pay their mortgages, thereby bailing out the banks but letting people keep their homes!

Excellent recipe, except at least quadruple it. I’ve got a big family, and it’s just as easy to make two and freeze one.

My dad became even more sweet and kind as he got older. My mom is becoming more negative and horrible. She is steeped in PBS and liberal FB. I think the negativity comes first, honestly, and then they seek out media that confirms their weird anger.
