I'm not sure most folks are aware of the immense magnitude of loss this would entail for the global weather and climate community, and beyond. NCAR has played a greater cumulative role in advancing weather prediction and atmospheric modeling than perhaps any other single entity in the world.

i think the only things from amrika's past that we should bring back are the extremely high income tax rates on ultra rich millionaires. ~80-90% seems quite fair to me, but I would also listen to those who believe rates should be higher.

antibiotics are incredible and people who reject modern medicine are ungrateful fools. A wound infection that would have killed me 100 years ago finally turned out to be no big deal - and that's fully due to the pills plus consistent use of various pharmaceutical products. I'm lucky to live now. 🤷🏻♀️
