Agreed

There were no Israelis in Gaza on 10/7, and the ceasefire had been negotiated by Egypt in 2021 and Hamas never said it was longer abiding by it before it attacked

I didn’t realize I was trying to have a conversation with a child. Please forgive me and tell your parents I was unaware of your immaturity

And Hamas was firing rockets at civilian targets. It odd to only mention the Israeli response (even if you find it disproportionate) and never the proximate cause.
December 9, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Please elaborate. They’d have a State in Gaza and most of the West Bank. Until the PLO said no, Jordan and the Gulf States supported them. Hamas, of course, opposed them, as did/do others who think Israel should not exist

The Knesset approved the Oslo accords, so, yes, despite Rabin’s tragic murder, Israel did approve them

A small, but welcomed, sign of hope. Thanks for asking

Israel accepted the Oslo Accords, which, would have given Palestinians self-governance in Gaza and in most of the West Bank, and the path to full sovereignty. Odd to call Israel a cancer because it has taken territory after being attacked, when it has repeatedly chosen to trade land for peace.

Before the mandates, the land was part of the Ottoman Empire (since 1516). How far back do you want to go? The UN created the modern state of Israel. It is not going anywhere. Your hatred of Jews or Israelis is irrelevant to what should and can happen now to bring peace to the region.

Israel was created out of a tiny sliver of what had been the British and French Mandates. Jordan was given to the Hashemite dynasty (who shared ethnicity with a minority of the population but had support the allies in WWI), and they annexed the West Bank in 1951. Egypt took control of Gaza in 1948.

Nabil, I do not. This person spreads misinformation, and makes malignant assumptions and statements in order to spread hatred. Speaking for myself only, I would like to see a Middle East free of Hamas and Netanyahu, an end to this conflict, and two nations living peacefully side by side
December 9, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Israel accepted the UN partition. The Arab nations didn’t,started a war,and Israel realized it needed securable borders. Egypt occupied Gaza in ‘48, and remained there until 1967, when the Arab nations launched another war. Israel left Gaza in ‘05 and there was a ceasefire in place on 10/7
December 9, 2025 at 3:37 PM
I hope that for your children too. I wish you peace and luck

You want to wipe out a nation created by, and recognized by, UN and I’m the one supporting genocide? Thank you for revealing who you are
December 9, 2025 at 1:40 PM
Okay- so your reply to my saying someone else wasn’t a Democrat was to say you are no longer one. Thanks for letting me know
December 9, 2025 at 1:28 AM
If your dream is a communist uprising, then, of course, you wanted Trump to win. Bringing pro Hamas signs to rallies, for example, makes no sense if you want to actually help the Gazan people, but does if the goal is good, old fashioned anarchy.

I support Israel, its right to exist and its right to defend itself. I support the creation of a Palestinian state, free of Hamas and other terrorist groups, protected by international peacekeepers. So, please, tell me what you think that makes me
December 8, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Guess I could have written plurality, or “the position favored by more people than any other position.” But, I was responding to your apparent belief that your view was supported my most, or even a plurality, of voters
December 8, 2025 at 8:09 PM
Yes, we were talking about about policies that had been formulated and then expressed during the campaign
December 8, 2025 at 8:06 PM
And, seeing a lot of “but Biden/Obama/Clinton were worse”, so they were correct. They’re no longer just disputing the consequence of their votes, but defending them in a way which shows they’ll do it again. After all, the two party system, I’ve been told, was designed to oppress the poor

I was literally posting a direct response to someone talking about the Dem base. Also, while I’m not in favor of politicians adopting positions based on polls, polls showed the Biden/Harris position on the conflict had majority support by all Americans, not just Dems. www.ipsos.com/en-us/reuter...

They did. Most Democrats wanted a ceasefire and the hostages released, thought the war was primarily the fault of Hamas, and, while most felt that the Israeli response was excessive, they also felt that Israel was doing what any country would do if so attacked. www.ipsos.com/en-us/reuter...
