The What’s Hot tab has a lot of weird creatures today. Sounds like a good opportunity to share our favorite weird creatures from ttrpgs.

One of my favorite character sheets I did was for a Victorian horror themed DnD one-shot I ran years back. All of the characters were circus freaks in London so I designed the character sheets to look like Victorian circus posters.

AI NPC: No tragic backstory here, Claire du Lac is a kind and engaging cleric of Gryllon, the God of Knowledge. Claire visits her parents regularly in her travels as she researches the various pixie myths in remote country villages.

First game I ever played with friends, though, was the Palladium RPG. I was 11 years-old. We got into a bar fight in a tavern. I thought it was the most creative storytelling experience I’d ever had. Completely blew me away.

For me, it was D&D’s red Beginner Box at the tender age of 8. My parents gave it to me. Neither of us had much of an idea of what it was, but I devoured it and that was it. RPG fan for life.
