My new #TTRPG book, Setting Europe Ablaze: The #SOE Sourcebook, is now available.

The SOE offers the perfect opportunity to play an #RPG set in the #SecondWorldWar where almost anything can happen.

I added my first venue to this site today. I'm intending to add more, and I would encourage other autistic people to do the same.

Plan your visit at businesses and locations with sensory information and instructions, for and from the autistic community. Noise, lighting, smells, human load, payment methods, toilets and how to get service.

This sounds like a really good idea to me. It's a map of businesses etc. For each one, there is information to help autistic people navigate them.

I'm commissioning someone to create the cover art for my next book. We've just had a meeting to discuss ideas, process, etc.

This is the first time I've commissioned art for a cover, and I'm really excited to see what comes of it. [1/2]

A friend of mine has just got a job, and put me down as a referee. Now I have to work out how to write a reference.

This is a good problem to have 🙂

Every so often, my son sends me a link (usually a YouTube short) with the question, "Is this true?"

I love that my 13yo fact checks random claims. I wish more adults would follow his example.

Now that Crucial have stopped selling retail, where are good places to buy SSDs in the UK?

For my next book, I'm thinking of commissioning an artist. I'd like something similar to this:

This happened a few days ago, but I missed it:

I'm looking to buy a second hand laptop. Is there anywhere that will advise on Linux compatibility?

Years ago there were hardware compatibility databases, do they still exist, and if so, where? [1/2]

Having had to chop garlic this evening, I'm now convinced that Special Agent Dale Cooper was wrong. 24-hour room service isn't the height of civilisation, being able to buy chopped garlic is.

Re https://mastodon.social/@fesshole/115758701342987137

Don't ask someone what their dead name is. Ever. Regardless of whether they're trans or not.

It's irrelevant and none of your business. If it is relevant for some reason, they'll tell you.
Fesshole 🧻 (@[email protected])
I'm a trans woman who, if anyone ever asks, will give my deadname as a different male name each time. It's been the single fastest way to find people who talk behind my back. If that name leaks I know just who leaked it and just who to instant block forever.

https://gts.phillipsuk.org/tags/onthisday in 1916, four Austro-Hungarian Huszár class destroyers raided the Otranto Barrage in the evening. Six French destroyers in the vicinity sailed to the sounds of gunfire, but there was much confusion in the darkness. [1/3]
