Happy to be in some exciting sessions, but worried what I’ve done to upset the Leeds gods. Third year in a row that I have been given a Thursday paper 😭

Seven year-old brought this absolute gem from the local Library: I could set this for university students and they’d learn from it! Obviously Daisy #beagle loves it too

Wasn’t sure what to make of this, even when I’d finished it. A strange story of Fenland nuns in 990.

Ostensibly about a cursed mere (body of water) but for me it became about relations between women, and by the end of called it Mère (about mothers and female authority)

I used to read the Times for a bit of balance against the Guardian. I can no longer take it.

These are the last four front pages. We’re being gaslit into a crisis (again!)

The Times today. Usually I can just ignore this, but I made the mistake of reading the comments under each one of these stories, and my goodness, we really are ruined.

Can you guess which idiot came off their bike last night?

Head is absolutely fine with no signs of concussion, but my favourite shirt is ruined, and I suspect my hand is broken. X-ray to follow later today. 😭

British Library day of Marianus Scotus, Anglo-Saxon Chronicle (Worcester version) and can confirm that these new ‘leaning stations’ in the BL are as comfortable as they look (very!)

(Also had some traditional fun in the BM afterwards)

Cleaning out the shed. Found my first ever gig ticket (Levellers, aged 9) and a highly topical gig ticket (didn’t bother seeing them this time, because why would I?)
