Another thing, Biden is about as capitalist as you can get, but one thing I’ll give him credit for is he stood up for unions, and made unions a major part of his campaign. Harris campaigned with celebrities and actually told a union leader “I’ll win with or without you”.

Gaza was the major difference. Everyone knew Biden is a zionist, but in 2020 there was no major ongoing conflict in the Middle East for it to be a red line issue. In 2024, it was a year into what was obviously turning out to be a genocide, and Harris wouldn’t condemn it.

I mean, I personally know at least one person who is a centrist democrat who voted for Trump over Harris solely because she’s a woman. The people doing that aren’t leftists though. Communists aren’t refusing to vote for people because they’re black or a woman.

Yeah, her timeline really doesn’t add up 😂

The person above Robot Girl claims her grandfather was imprisoned by the Bolsheviks in 1917.

I’m almost certain there’s some story like “he fought for the capitalists and lost” 😂

And for the record, I think we need a revolution, and voting won’t bring about communism. But voting for a demsoc can make daily life more affordable for the time being.

A mayor has a lot more impact on the average person’s life than a congressperson, and I think when it comes to local elections, we should be taking a stance of supporting demsoc candidates if there are no further left options, and be more flexible than when it comes to federal elections.

AOC has turned out to be more of a socdem. And she’s been a disappointment. If Mamdani continues to take an anti-genocide stance, and actually implements policies had benefit New Yorkers, I’d support him even if he’s not a perfect socialist.

I’d argue that leftism starts at anticapitalism, following that definition they’re within the overall realm of leftism.

Fascist tech bros literally get their evil ideas from movies, tv shows, video games and more. Next post shows an example of that.
A 25-person startup is developing technology to block the sun and turn down the planet’s thermostat.

The stakes are huge — and the company and its critics say regulations need to catch up.

I agree with you that the arguments you listed are stupid. To me, I see him as a potential stepping stone to more leftist candidates running. If a socialist can win in the largest American city, more can win other election. Maybe some actual communists too.

The DNC will never stop running center right candidates if leftists keep voting for them. If the DNC needs our votes, they need to run on at least a few actual leftist stances.
November 24, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Why did the DNC run a candidate that leftists said they wouldn’t vote for if she didn’t condemn genocide? You can’t run a center right candidate, tell leftists to go fuck themselves, and wonder why they’re not backing your candidate.
November 24, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Refusing to support an actual socialist because he isn’t the exact same type of communist as you are is a ridiculous stance to take.
November 24, 2025 at 3:25 PM
Harris was center right. I think refusing to support her is a valid stance. She wouldn’t condemn genocide, she supported deportations, she opposed trans rights.

Mamdani is a socialist, he opposes ICE, speaks out against genocide, and has a plan to actually improve living conditions.

“Everyone who disagrees with me is a liberal”.

No. I support him *for now* because I prefer a demsoc over a capitalist. I see what’s happening in this country and I don’t think now is the time for leftist infighting. I’d prefer a Marxist-Leninist mayor but I’ll support a demsoc.
November 24, 2025 at 3:14 PM
It depends on the leftist. I’m a communist and I support him. He’s not perfect, but he’s improving the lives of millions of New Yorkers and he has some decent policies. I’ll always support a democratic socialist over a capitalist.

I saw someone on here the other day call New Yorkers “treatlers” for wanting to be able to afford their rent and have a grocery store in their neighborhood.

Some people are never going to be satisfied, even if an actual Marxist-Leninist won they’d find something else to complain about.
