ohhh gotcha… :( have you tried cs6? it looks like it was the last non-subscription one and is probably more familiar than clip studio paint at least… that really sucks though!!!

i’m excited for it!! it’s not a guarantee i’ll get something like a houndour or lavitar, but it’s a huge bummer that those pokémon are locked to basically the post-game in normal play/without the pokewalker

i played some last night and 1) the beginning of hgss takes SO LONG i still don’t have any pokeballs 2) if i do level caps, my starter is already level 8 so i should be careful to not over level her since the first gym’s cap is only level 13!

i was resetting for a not-bad nature (like not a low defense or high attack nature) but was happy i actually got modest as my first decent nature!!

the egg thing has a lot of thought put into it, basically i wanted to increase the variety of encounters without using a romhack or getting away from the spirit of johto. eggs are a bit part of gsc’s identity and none of the eggs have anything too out there in them

excuse the photo quality but i’m preparing to do a nuzlocke in hgss and to make it a lil more fun i’m gonna add a rule where i can get a random egg in each new town and after getting a badge :3 inspired by the odd egg in crystal and the pokewalker in hgss, which i won’t be using but many of these—

OKAY I FINISHED…. 24 eggs, may have gone overboard because per my current rules, i only need 17. i guess i Could probably expand it to each new pokémon center, i don’t think there are THAT many outside of towns, but there are a few…

ooh thank you for the recs!! you’re probably right about not doing a nuzlocke for the difficulty hacks, i’ll probably just play those normally if/when i get to them. seaglass looks so cool!! i’ve actually never played emerald (just ruby/sapphire) so if i decide to, maybe that’s how i’ll do it…
