Now we're trying to make the application more production ready, fix most of bugs, finishing some advanced features. We hope with this it will be taken more seriously and give me a better sense of who will really want to use it.

My take on why:
- They are taking this demo version less seriously
- The limitations really put them off, they want to actually code and have full control
- Feel more comfortable & safe sticking with a mature and battle tested product regardless of the or features demo

- 1 person was really on board. He was genuinely excited, and wants it.
- 1 person was really skeptical. Pointed out a lot of limitations.
- Others have various degree of excitement. Some were excited about the live preview (arguably the killer feature), but were very reserved.

They understood how to use it (some with more difficulty than others, lots of bugs), and got the main value proposition: a very low barrier, simple way to create Visual Novels without coding. But at the same time many were concerned about the limitations of such product.

6. Then plan will be to first populate the store with VNs created with the new engine and editor where creators will already have a sense of trust, and also will be super convenient to publish as no additional porting will be required.

5. Without solving the above, it is hard to talk about the benefits of the store such as lower commission rates or additional features. Seeding this approach as a dead end, I have put this on hold for now to focus on creating the Visual Novel engine and editor.

4. The third and most important reason is trust. As an unknown store and team, creators are not willing to entrust their build files. The store needs to maintain, and protect the IP of the VNs. There is a lot of operational work for the store to do to ensure this is done properly.

3. The second reason is that as a new store, I'm not able to send much traffic to the store, which for them means more work but little additional benefits. This is a typical chicken and egg problem for a marketplace.

2. The main reason is that the need to port their VN into a new engine is a dealbreaker. Mostly because they are concerned of copyright and IP issues. Creators are very sensible about this and righfully so as they've put the hard work and sweat into creating their VNs.

4. Or specialise in specific genres or niches that have not yet been covered by older VNs. Or innovate by creating new storytelling techniques or formats that have not yet been done before.

3. Some ways I can think of to better "compete" with older VNs: either creators to be able to create much higher quality VNs that become preferable to older VNs.

2. The readership however does not seem to be growing as fast. Therefore the supply gets larger which gives pressure for prices to go down which makes it harder for creators to make a living.
