Recording and mixing engineer, bass guitarist, mostly retired, neurodivergent. (Can we please get rid of the 'ASD' acronym? Living on the autism spectrum is *NOT* a disorder!)
My goal is to someday lead a band called Amish Jihad.

That's a good addition to any rageful playlist. It's up there with MC5 'Motor City is Burning' and Ugly Kid Joe 'Everything About You'.

Much of the music was re-recorded for the release. Here is Part 1 of the “before” with B&W video. youtu.be/1vH9G5_rRDM?...

He may have “borrowed” it from Jeff Beck, but I love Jimmy Page’s five-note guitar phrase at the beginning of ‘Since I’ve Been Loving You’.

That riff is metal AF.

OK, I'm old, but the one that always gets me is "drops". So confusing - if a band is dropped from a label it means their music is no longer available there, but if a band's record just dropped it means it was just released/unleashed/unveiled/announced.

If it drops, does it become a broken record?

This Joe Walsh quote from an interview in Guitar Player magazine has stuck with me. It goes something like this: "My two favorite things are hooking stuff up to see if it works...and beer."

Joe doesn't drink any more, but he still plays a mean guitar (and fun fact - he's a ham radio operator too!)

Indeed. Eichmann learned that lesson - the hard way.

How did Jeff Lynne ever become a member of the Traveling Wilburys? The only song he ever did that was worth anything was ‘Do Ya’.

Is her music so sh!tty that she receives death threats?

I have a great dislike for many people's music, but I don't wish for any of them to be murdered.

One of these instruments - I forget which one - has been referred to as "an ill wind that nobody blows good".

I turned 15 in 1967, and the music of the 60s and 70s will always be close to my heart.

I know there's a piccolo trumpet in there - I'm not sure about the French horn. When I first heard Penny Lane, on 1050 CHUM AM from Toronto, it was the version that's on the Beatles 'Rarities' album, with the seven-note piccolo trumpet phrase at the end of the song.

John kept his end of the deal and the proof is the B side of the 'Philadelphia Freedom' single. Name that tune...

Misguided Angel is my favourite song on the album. Written about Keith Whittaker, who fronted Toronto punk outfit The Demics. What an honour to have someone craft such a lovely song.

Reminds us oldsters of the Everly Brothers. Sweet song!

On a similar note, I would like to see the end of “Imported by” on food product labels. I don’t give a flying fcuk about *who* imported the stuff. I want to know where it came from, and it’s often a waste of time calling the importer’s 800 number to ask.
