Just discovered bluesky's love awaited bookmark function. This is the first post I have used it on. Now to find where these bookmarks are stored so I can catch-up on @politicanimal.bsky.social's #schemgen200 journey!

In Whitby right now and it's routing via Scarborough on the bus. Guess that's the same route for RHB.

What do you think of Meta's AI summary of the person in this image?
July 24, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Meta AI needs better training. I know this lad is a talented footballer, but according to Meta AI, he has also directed The Conversation, Apocalypse Now and the Godfather Trilogy. 😂

On the 10th anniversary, we watched the memorial from our office window. We watched people assembled - including the recently retired, and new local MPs (now the PM) - for a ceremony to remember the victims of 7/7.

Arles. Looks like you got a much nicer day than we did in April.

So in conclusion, I am not going to chance my luck on a tour T-shirt that might not fit. The sizing is so inconsistent! I might look at other merch though... Or maybe just have a cup of tea. Enjoy the gigs if you are going! The album is brilliant and the shows sound like they are going to be fun 6/6

This one is from the Sheffield arena gig in 2023. After the disappointment of the previous T shirt I went for size S. Basically, I can get it on but it is short and too tight for a woman of my figure. 5/6

I love the design of this special edition tee which I think was only available at The Sheffield gigs in 2011. It's by an artist called Kid Acne and features the lyrics to Sheffield Sex City. There were no S ones left so I got M. But it's effing huge. I never wear it 😞 4/6

I got this one at Donny Dome in 1998. I wore it a lot as a student, but not so keen now. It's size L - a bit baggy but Ok. Think they should've stuck with the skinny fit. 3/6

I got this T-shirt at my first ever Pulp gig in 1995 at Newcastle University. You can do the maths. It's XL but despite that, it fits really well. I will be wearing this at the O2. 2/6

I am very excited to go and see Pulp this weekend for the upteenth time but I will not be buying a T-shirts this time. Here's why... 1/6

Haha, indeed. I won't disturb you by posting an image of my bare feet. I think diving fins would be better, though!

Enjoyed a presentation by Charlotte Bunne of EPFL on virtual cells & digital twins in personalised medicine at the Gen AI Hub's #genbiology workshop. She described how generative models can forecast a drug's success by mapping how cells in cancer patients would respond to different treatments.

Back from a weekend in West Yorkshire. The countryside around Keighley is a revelation!

A momentous day. My parents old asbestos-ridden boiler is being replaced with something newer, more efficient and safer. It must be at least 40 years old. They are making a special protective tent while they remove the nasties.

Which? Mag has tested the effectiveness of different search engines. I thought this test result was interesting.

Was a great gig and nice for 40 somethings. Finished by 10.05 and home by 11. Missed the start though which was a shock!

As an aside, I found the music page from the 22 Nov 1990 edition of the Evening Chronicle interesting. Did you know Ocean Colour Scene were a going concern in 1990?
