He took his nightstick and railed it against the bars causing the two wolves to snarl and throw themselves at the bars. “That was not an invitation to go slower. I’m going to be late for work,” Alex said, with a groan. He let his head fall back onto the couch. Being a zombie meant a lot of maintenance time with his creator. And honestly, it wasn’t that enjoyable. Tyler was so lazy that half the time Alex was basically falling apart before she even considered changing out the body part that needed to be replaced.

Alex needed both hands to work and he needed a stomach to continue his lifestyle of eating and draining whatever the hell he desired. He had garnered a reputation at work for being the person who would try anything once and that usually put a lot of wear and tear on his organs.

Alex opened the door to his room. It was painted a bright shade of neon green with chrome tables, bookshelves, and black leather couches that seemed to shine. That was the normal part of the room. On the wall facing the door was another chrome shelf that didn’t house books, no it housed XXX of all shapes, sizes, textures and colors.

Book 4 - The Forest Demands Its Due by Kosoko Jackson

This book got 4⭐️. It was the first YA I’ve read in a while and I loved it. I’m a huge sucker for gay romance at a boarding school where you have to break a curse. Also the twist was lovely. #BookSky

Book 3 - Womb City by Tlotlo Tsamaase

Another 5⭐️ read but honestly this book was higher than 5 in my opinion. The rage that I felt as a woman was splattered all across the page. The story was truly interesting and I couldn’t put it down. It’s a long and thick book but I tore through it. #BookSky

Book 2 - Murder in G Major by Alexia Gordon

This book got 3.5⭐️ from me. I felt it was slow but enjoyed the cozy mystery and loved the ghost aspect. Honestly I’m a sucker for anything set in Ireland but the pace knocked it down for me. #BookSky

“Take the elevator up to the roof and Valentine will entertain you there,” The vampire instructed, pressing the up button for the elevator. As the door opened up the scent of roses floated out. Inside the interior was done in rich mahogany, in-laid with shimmering mother of pearl accents. Upon entering, Jessica noticed that the control panel was brass, with art nouveau designs etched in with rubies. This elevator cost more than she would ever be worth, and instantly she felt out of place. Regina, on the other hand, seemed to brighten up when she saw how lavish the interior was.
