This reminds me:
My mother loved to read me Beatrix Potter when I was little. She was always amused that Potter used the word "soporific".
“It is said that the effect of eating too much lettuce is 'soporific'.”

My 1st Christmas in the US in 1973 left me disappointed when I heard the American version. The best reason to find videos of choirs singing carols from the UK on YouTube is the last verse descant. I listen to Kings College Choir each year; I think it's accurate that every carol ends with a descant.

I'm wondering if she's made a public statement since it went bootlegged and viral.

That shot of Trump praising Bukele in the Oval Office, and the Noem footage ... impeach them and the rest of the involved cabinet members. In the future, The Hague for everyone complicit.

Step 1 Impeach - Trump, Noem, the lot of them
Step 2 The Hague in their future - everyone complicit

So, what happens to Weiss now I wonder? Other than the fact she has replaced the Streisand part of the Streisand effect.

I agree. She's my rep. too, and I voted for her. What will I do in 2026? Vote for her.

A colleague of his on the Hornsey Journal went on to become a top editor of one of the big Fleet Street broadsheets. I also wanted to go into journalism as a teenager, and I wrote to my favorite columnist at the Guardian, asking him for career advice. He kindly wrote back, advising against it!!! 🙂/2

My dad (in UK) started his working life as a reporter, apprenticing at 15 with the Yorkshire Evening Post. After the navy in WW2, he worked on north London local papers like the Hornsey Journal. He became so frustrated with the sub-editors, he changed careers into advertising, later marketing. 1/2
