So, if an institute or center decided not to fund any grant from University X or on Topic Y, then there would be no documentation in the official grant files about these applications.

This is fascinating! But I'm curious: why is there lifespan elongation (in the first 2 gens) as a response to hypoxic stress? Naively I'd have imagined a *shorter* lifespan. Did I misunderstand? And if not, is the mechanism for this known?
