i was privileged enough to be in on a conversation about light and darkness and how everyone made "darkness" such a bad thing. when we consider things that might make us "ugly" it is always referred to as "dark" like dark spots, hyperpigmentation, etc

that's why it's critical for men to be raised with/and or by HEALTHY men. we always contribute unhealthy dynamics between women and kids (mothers being their first daughters opp type of conversation), but we FAIL to consider how it goes both ways.
especially when a man meets a woman who he connects with on all levels and feels a deep amount of love and respect for her, men will always turn towards the other and shame them for experiencing something they wish they could but are too weak to admit it🤷🏾♀️
