Less than 24hrs left in #Noirvember 🎬 and I’m sad to say I won’t meet my goal of watching the list of films I had queued because I’m impulsive and continue to watch films based on my mood just like entry #45, PANIC (2000) a great neo-noir flick that i haven’t seen in 25 years. No regrets though ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As I was headed to bed I made the mistake of grabbing my phone and at the end of a short rabbit hole I discovered QUIET PLEASE, MURDER (1942) a rarely seen b-movie that runs only 70 mins so i told myself “why not make it pick #44 of #Noirvemer?” 🎬 And you know what, I do not regret it.

LE ROUGE EST MIS (1957) was watched before RAZZIA and is listed out of order but I’m too lazy to fix it so it’s now #43 on this #Gabintember aka #Noirvember watch list

Movie #42 for #Noirvember aka #Gabintember is the excellent and under-appreciated RAZZIA SUR LE CHNOUF (1955)

Earlier this month of #Noirvember i watched a bunch film starring Alain Delon and it looks like I’ll be ending the month with a bunch of films starring Jean Gabin. PÉPÉ LE MOKO (1937) is Noir #41 this month

#Noirvember film #40 was THE SET-UP (1949) which for me I think is one of those overrated noirs. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good movie but does it deserve all the accolades? I just don’t think it falls under the “Great” category

George Raft, or as I call him “The Poor Man’s Humphrey Bogart” stars in BACKGROUND TO DANGER (1943), entry #39 for #Noirvember 🎬. In addition, Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre also play supporting roles.
