Spent most of my working career as Marine Engineer moving between large cargo ships, cable laying vessels and superyachts. Spent 12 years ashore within the marine industry including building and converting ships, before becoming a university lecturer.
Watching this from the UK it's inhumane to see what ICE has become and how due process appears to be a thing of the past. I watched an arrest video from UK police tonight and it was one of the most calm, supportive arrests I have ever seen. No guns, no violence and everything explained in full.

Their project playbook is playing away at full speed, leaving courts and judges playing catchup. It's incredibly sad to watch it happening and even sadder to watch how long any corrective work takes to bring such actions under control.

As a Brit I am seeing my feeds being consumed by so many similar posts where due process is abandoned and even the regular police are breaking constitutional requirements.
The situation is alarming for what should be a democratic country where things are sadly out of control at the moment.

Jamie is a voice of reason, articulate and very informed. One of the band of proactive Democrats that challenge he establishment. America needs more Jamie Raskin's but as a whole, democratise to be more active which I know isn't an easy task.

Does anything say exactly what language the commandments have to be written in? Display but chose a random language that nobody can read - problem solved for those against displaying such things, as not everyone follows that religion.

75% I can understand why big pharma and Rep Gov resists the universal health care that we Europeans enjoy. I have worked until cancer stopped me at 51 and paid a small price in taxes through that time. The NHS has looked after me perfectly at zero additional cost and no risk to my finances.

Speaking calmy is not the same as civility. He often led his debates with questions he had planned and knew the answers to, which you can understand. His views were very one sided and incited hate against minorities, even women, who are most definitely not a minority. He craved white male power.

From what I have seen, they really do appear to be poorly built considering what they are suppsed to represent. Perhaps rushed into service without the usual testing of the more etablished brands and doing Tesla no favours along us way.

He had nothing to apologise for. Considering where he has come from, he has worked miracles where many would have crumbled. The Oval Office debacle fell on two so called men that intentionally berated him, Trump and Vance should be the apologisers.
